data modernization

LumenData has been a dedicated partner to state and local governments, as well as higher education institutions, as they work to modernize and transform their approaches to Enterprise Information Management (EIM). We’ve led successful projects with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, University of Colorado, James Madison University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Utah, and many others.

In 2020, state and local governments have been put under immense pressure to track and manage COVID-19 cases and exposure. That’s difficult when most are tethered to old, inflexible, disparate legacy data management infrastructures. A tangle of privacy laws complicates these efforts for state and local governments, however, as does the need to integrate disease control data with economic data to track the resulting fallout as the pandemic spikes in different regions. LumenData can provide expert guidance as you work to quickly respond to these pressing data needs.

We’ve also been awarded a GSA IT-70 contract, further easing engagements with government agencies.

In the higher education sector, institutions have been making great strides to modernize their systems in recent years. Some progressive institutions are even creating new CIO positions to guide their digital transformations as they look to reduce costs through process optimization and gain a data-driven edge in the increasingly competitive market for incoming students. They’re also looking to eliminate paperwork, reduce redundancy, and maximize the value from their student and alumni data. Others have unique and novel income sources they need to manage, such as royalties.
