Surrogacy Cost in Kenya   Kenya has been a destination for commercial surrogacy since 2012 when the country’s first surrogacy clinic opened. Since then, the industry has rapidly expanded with an estimated 300 to 600 Kenyan women now acting as surrogates each year. The cost of surrogacy in Kenya is a fraction of what it would be in developed countries like the United States or Australia. For example, while a typical surrogacy arrangement in the US can cost upwards of $100,000, the same arrangement in Kenya would cost between $15,000 and $30,000. There are a number of reasons why commercial surrogacy is so much cheaper in Kenya than other countries. One reason is that there are few legal regulations around the practice.
